WELCOME to the Texas Family Literacy Organization (TFLO)

The mission of the Texas Family Literacy Organization is to foster programmatic excellence and interagency relationships for family literacy in Texas, and to provide a voice and forum for sharing challenges.

Program models supported by TFLO include but are not limited to Even Start, Reading First and Early Reading First.  However, personnel and participants of all family literacy organizations throughout the state are invited to join TFLO in our efforts to promote family literacy in Texas.

What is Family Literacy? Family literacy is a program model designed to break the cycle of intergenerational poverty and low literacy in families.
